The PROVE - Verticalization Of Peasant Farming Production - is a well-succeeded initiative on the support for the peasant rural farmers, promoted by the Federal District Government. Small rural properties, familybased, are served by the programme, which offers a series of supporting actions for the establishment of agro-industries. The programme aims at increasing the value of the family-based farms’ production, leading to rural employment, and to the increase of small producers’ income, with direct results on life quality improvement in the rural communities.
